By 2012 you’ll find Farringdon station to be:

• Modern with a new integrated National Rail ticket hall in Cowcross Street for the Thameslink route
• Easier to access with an additional new entrance and concourse for London Underground services in Turnmill Street
• Fully accessible for those with buggies, heavy luggage or disabilities.

The station will have:

• Longer, covered platforms with more room
• Some 12 carriage trains providing more seats
• Improved access to the Tube
• Provision for Crossrail which, when open in 2018, will effectively give the station direct links to Gatwick, Heathrow and Luton airports with Stanstead and London City Airport an interchange away.
