Improvements delivered
Great news! We're nearing the end of the first phase of the Thameslink Programme.
That means:
- 12-carriage trains: On 12 December, First Capital Connect began running its first longer 12-carriage Thameslink route trains between Bedford and Brighton, creating almost 2,000 extra seats at the busiest times of the day
- A better Blackfriars: we now have new facilities at Blackfriars:
- a new station entrance on the South Bank in December - a second entrance on the north bank | |
| - and the Tube station has reopened after extensive improvements |
- At Farringdon: a brand new ticket hall for Thameslink route customers opened on 12 December
- At West Hampstead Thameslink: a brand new station building opened on 12 December
