Christmas closures

First Capital Connect won't be running any trains on the Thameslink route on Christmas Day and Boxing Day which is usual during the festive period. Trains do operate all other times, though, including New Year's Eve and New Year's Day but to a revised service. See First Capital Connect's journey planner.

However, in addition to the Christmas and Boxing Day closure by FCC, we're having to shut the line across central London between Herne Hill/London Bridge and St Pancras International from Sunday, 27 December to Wednesday, 30 December inclusive.

That's so we can carry out almost £10 million-worth of work for the Thameslink Programme, most crucially at Blackfriars where a major piece of civil engineering work demands a full six days closure of the line.
