This report has been written to highlight the journey the Thameslink Programme has been on with regards to health & safety
The statistics demonstrate the impact that has been made, however, the real difference cannot be written into a report. The real difference was made through people and their approach. A collaborative approach was taken by the Network Rail and it’s suppliers and where health & safety was concerned there was a very joined up approach.
It was through the actions of leaders that we made a real difference, the teams managed to create ‘safe environments’ whereby the workforce were able to speak up and share their concerns.
On many of the projects within the Programme it was almost impossible at times to tell which members of the team were Network Rail and which were suppliers. Relationships built up over time and allowed teams to work in collaboration while at the same time holding each other to account.
